Life Science Web is a collaboration between the Scientific Data Analysis Lab, a
Pervasive Technology Lab at Indiana University, and the Mooney Laboratory in
the Department of Medical and Molecular Genetics, Indiana University School
of Medicine. This collaboration strives to enable data integration and collaboration
across disciplines using a Web services infrastructure. We have initially built several
Web services for the analysis of protein structure. Using UCSF Chimera or Delano Scientific
PyMOL, users can visualize mutations on protein structures and perform functional analysis
of protein structures using residue environments (S-BLEST). We are excited about developers
that are interested in extending their own tools to interact with our services. We will add
services in (for beta testing) as they become available. To download and install our current
extensions for Chimera and PyMOL click on the "Downloads" link on the left.
