LSW Web Services
ACADEMIC NON-COMMERCIAL USE LICENSE AGREEMENT

1. LSW Web Services means the executable forms, underlying object codes, and source codes of the LSW Web Services software program and associated documentation and minor releases. LSW Web Services is the work of Mooney Laboratory, Medical and Molecular Genetics, IUSM and the Scientific Data Analysis Lab, Pervasive Technology Labs at IU. The copyright in LSW Web Services is owned by Indiana University Research and Technology Corporation (IURTC). This is a legal agreement between you (hereafter LICENSEE), and IURTC. By accepting, receiving, or using LSW Web Services, you agree to be bound by all of its terms.
   
2. IURTC grants to LICENSEE a royalty free, non-exclusive, and nontransferable license to install and use LSW Web Services for internal research.
3. The title and copyright to LSW Web Services and any associated programs and documentation shall remain with IURTC. LICENSEE agrees to preserve same. LICENSEE agrees not to make any copies of LSW Web Services except for use in LICENSEE's laboratory without IURTC's prior written permission. LICENSEE agrees to place the appropriate copyright notice on any such copies.
4. LICENSEE may create derivative works of LSW Web Services provided IURTC is notified and provided a copy of any derivative works and that IURTC and Indiana University are granted a non-exclusive, worldwide, perpetual, royalty-free license to any derivative works created by LICENSEE for any use.
5. LICENSEE shall not distribute LSW Web Services within LICENSEE's institution or transfer it to another location or another person without IURTC's prior written permission.
6. If IURTC grants LICENSEE permission to distribute LSW Web Services, LICENSEE shall not export, LSW Web Services, or any part thereof, directly or indirectly, to any country where such export or reexport is not authorized in full compliance with the laws of the United States of America .
7. 7 LICENSEE acknowledges that LSW Web Services is a research tool, provided free of charge, and as such it is only provided as is. IURTC, its faculty, employees, and students have no obligation to assist LICENSEE in its use, correction, modification, or enhancement and carry no obligation to provide any updates whatsoever.
   
   IURTC MAKES NO REPRESENTATIONS AND EXTENDS NO WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. THERE ARE NO EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS OF LSW Web Services FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR THAT THE USE OF LSW Web Services WILL NOT INFRINGE ANY PATENT, COPYRIGHT, TRADEMARK, TRADE SECRET, OR OTHER INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS OF ANOTHER PARTY, OR ANY OTHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES. IURTC WILL NOT BE LIABLE TO LICENSEE FOR ANY CLAIMS OR DAMAGES ARISING FROM LICENSEE'S USE OF LSW Web Services, ANY CLAIM FOR ANY LOSS OR INTERRUPTION OF BUSINESS, OR FOR ANY INDIRECT, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES OF ANY KIND.
8. LICENSEE shall acknowledge Dantzer, et al. (submitted) as its source in any publication discussing LSW Web Services or results obtained using it.
